Wild nature isn’t only found in remote places. You can discover it right on your doorstep.
Some of the stories of wild nature can now be seen at the visitor centre of the Danube Biosphere Reserve.
We have installed a Rewilding Ukraine photo exhibition here to show not just beautiful landscapes and wildlife, but also how nature restoration works.
Rewilding is about restoring natural processes and creating the conditions in which nature can recover on its own. It’s about free-flowing rivers, natural grazing, the return of wild animals, and restoring the connections between species and landscapes.
The photographs take you to the Tarutyno Steppe and the Danube Biosphere Reserve, telling stories of how nature can change when it is given more space to thrive.
If you visit the Danube Biosphere Reserve Visitor Centre, come and see the exhibition. Perhaps afterwards, you’ll look at wild nature a little differently.
